Wrong Love at the A Foundation

After some long nights working on the design and video for the DJ set at the alternative Valentine's party Wrong Love in Liverpool held at the A Foundation, finally came the reward!

The event was mainly great and I really hope we will see more edgy and artistic night events in Liverpool again. I enjoyed observing the installations set up on the night and I also enjoyed a dreamy-like, one to one performance I experienced talking to a mysterious person while being blind folded and fed cake into my mouth. My imagination and curiosity are ready to explode since then, wondering about who was the person I talked with, and the environment where the experience took place.

One of my favorite moments was the kind puppet and his master Colin Eccleston in a sweet yet funny puppetry show.

The only unfortunate moment of the night was that I couldn't enjoy as much as it deserved the performance of my friend Kim Bumstead, as by the time he appeared a lot of people were behaving badly and drunk. One thing I would hope for for future events would be some sort of security for the artists and performers in these situations.

So, enjoy my video compilation played during the event, and have a closer look on some artists and performers of the night, Kimbal Bumstead, Jayne Lawless and Improvisation Laboratory w/Fool's Proof Theatre.

Many thanks to Come into Land that brought as the event.
Looking forward to see more!

Screen Printing

On Friday me and some other super geeks decided to attend an old school screen printing workshop and learn some basic stencil design techniques. These are the goodies we manage to make after two hours sketching, cutting and printing our designs into fabric...The rest is the lab we were working in that i found very interesting...

For more information about the facilities see Cuts Liverpool and the Art Organisation.

Art in the streets of Berlin

Such a creative city...Art and music are all over Berlin! You can discover hidden creatures on the walls ready to pop out and start walking and teasing the people around on the streets. Grunge walls and grafiti wherever you turn your head, no need to go far there to find some inspiration...

This are some pictures taken while visiting Berlin for the latest Pictoplasma Animation conference on 2007 and a second visit on Easter. Once you 've been once, there is no way you won't want to go back!

Design Show Liverpool 2008

Here are some pictures from the Design Show that started yesterday at an old warehouse in Liverpool. Catwalks, arts and crafts, furniture, jewllery and many more were exhibited. Worth mentioning was the building itself (The Contemporary Urban centre) that was a pleasure to walk around ... For more details about the show have a look at
www.designshowliverpool.com

The pictures I'm posting contain work from www.petraboase.com which i promised her a link to my blog...A girl with briliant clothes, canvases and toys for kids (or people that still consider themselves kids..!)

What got me well excited was also the handmade moving toys of Mr Robert Race www.robertrace.co.uk that him and his wife kindly let me play around with all of those...(risky, but i didn't break anything!)

Gustav Klimt- My new source of inspiration

Tate Liverpool Exhibition of Gustav Klimt...A brilliant artist...thin lines, erotic bodies, golden details, symbolism, byzantine and japanese influences are some of his characteristics. An exhibition that is strongly recommended.

I was thrilled by the golden phase of Gustav Klimt and his project "Beethoven Frieze". Erotic and elegant, it made me want to travel back in time and see the world in Vienna with his eyes, listening to the music that he was inspired by...
